Sending birds to Sweden...

I think this is the first time I did something other than draw in this challenge!
I ripped a piece from an old Danish book page a bit smaller than an inch to allow the key to stick outside it...
The key I cut from patterned cardstock and attached with adhesive dots. And then just a little bling to top it off...

Zentangled ATC
This one I drew for a pocket letter going out today for someone who also likes to tangle...
The brown cardstock was wrapped around a pack of yogurts. I thought the color was perfect for some brown tangles...
Kozy - Jalousie - Inapod - Numph

I absolutely love owls! What a great theme...

I had nothing at all with owls. Thank God for my very good friend Google!
I printed images, some as cards, some to use on cardstock. Added some buttons and bling...
I really love making these!

This middle pocket is my favorite...

This is a one-time swap. So it's just a short letter. Since I am sending to Sweden I can write in Danish. Swedish and Danish are somewhat alike.
If there's words in Swedish I can't guess the meaning of I try to say them out loud. It's funny but somehow that makes it easier. Maybe because many words are alike but spelled differently...

Of course the envie has owls too. Never do anything halfheartedly! lol!

More outgoing mail...
Japan, Canada, Singapore and Thailand... I try to cover the entire planet! ;)

You might have noticed my favorite animals are cats and owls...

A week in color...

I really enjoy drawing white on black so this challenge was right up my alley...

joey's weekly tangle challenge #61: Tangle a flower shaped string
Zendala Dare #3

Inside my sketchbook
My son sat down next to me while I was tangling and asked if he could make a tiny drawing too!
He only wanted to color in though so I drew him a string and this is as far as he got before something else caught his attention...

Watching him I just got an urge to color in, it's so relaxing. So I made one for myself too...

This weeks inchie I made on a piece of an actual envelope...

One hundred days of creativity!

Hang on, I've got an entire week's work in pictures for you here!
Are you hanging? Good, let's go then...

Page 3 in my tangle sampler book is now done... Looking back I see that I posted about finishing page 2 on February 11th and this page contains about 65 tangles... It's roughly a new tangle a day...
That's pretty awesome! Go me! ;)

Cat-kin is a great tangle! It's simple and repetitive to draw and looks cool, I love it!
B'twined is one of many tangles I learned and only actually used once. But it's also a great tangle to draw, I will have to use it more.
(I wish I had made it bigger upwards, but that's for next time!)

I decided cat-kin was new enough to pass for a new to me tangle...

New tangle: Cat-kin
Inapod, eca-lin, lockar curls, ovolution, courant, enyshou, lilypads

It seems most of the participants in this challenge didn't care for the new theme... Only two submissions this week and not many last week either...
Go check it out, it's so much more fun when more people take part... :)

Owls, owls, owls...

I adopted Joey's cut-and-paste idea for my sketchbook...
My favorite things to draw is cats, owls doodle flowers... And I love to color in after, that is if I get the chance before the kids steals my drawings!
This time I got there in time... Perfect for a rainy Saturday afternoon...

String: I drew one..
Quib and Quabog

I've seen some really cool tiles using Quib. It looks so fun to draw, so I had to try.
And it was a great tangle to draw. But I didn't really know what to do with it once I had the quib down...
There was no step-out to be found on Quabog, maybe it's one of the top-secret tangles!
Good thing it's so simple even I can figure it out...
When I had drawn Quabog it looked so messy... Then I filled it with black and it took the focus away from the Quib...
Colored pencils to the rescue!!
Now it looks sort of outer-spacey... And I like it!

We have now passed one hundred days of creativity over at Whimsy by Kelly's where we're going for 300 creative days in 2015...
Yay for us!

Scratch that...

"This week's challenge is to try using tools or materials you've never used before for tangling."

How perfect that I today received a package from Amazon containing black tiles and some scratch tiles too...

The scratch tiles I saw someone use on a blog, do not remember who or where, but I really wanted to try this. Also it was something I knew would drag the kids away from their ipads and do something creative for a while...

Black tiles I haven't tried tangling before. Only some scraps of black paper last week when I bought some white gelly rolls.

So my submission for this weeks diva challenge is these two...

Wavy border, Locar, Maryhill, Poke-leaf, Tipple

Inaura, Inapod, Poke-leaf, Eke
Drawing white on black was very enjoyable. Luckily the pack I bought contains 75 tiles, so I'll be playing more with that.

The scratch tile was really fun to do. I remember loving thise as a child.
For the next one I'll dig out a knitting needle and see if the lines can be cleaner with that. The nib on the little stick that came with the pack is rather thick and makes very uneven lines when drawing round...

My daugther did some flowers and hearts on hers. My son scratched his name and then proceeded to scratch off all of the black... That's my boy, so thorough...

Getting kozy with inaura...

It got way too late last night, so I skipped posting yesterdays work... I know myself well enough to
know I can't just do the post and then go to bed...
I always just have to take tiny peek at what everyone else have posted... And just one pin... Or just two... And then I blink and it's been an hour...
Am I the only one with this problem??

So here goes... Yesterday I did a tile for...

Tangles: Kozy, Inaura

I am completely in love with both these tangles. Inaura is so great to draw and I love the layering.
Kozy is so beautiful! It can be a delicate flower or angel wings or a sea shell... Love it!
I spent a lot of time playing around with both the tangles.

And today...

Tangles: Inapod, Mooka and a whole lot of lines...

I had some difficulties with this template.
Finished one but had put way too much in it. So I trashed it, started over with some minor changes and left some white space.
Now I'm really happy with it.

Note, that Erin over at The Bright Owl who is offering this amazing challenge is having a giveaway, actually it's a double giveaway, this week! So if you're in the US, make sure you pop by...

S for Star Map...

 "S"
String #9
Star Map - Sooflowers - Inapod - Wud - Isochor - Wavy Border

Usually I use only tangles starting with the letter of the week, like an extra little challenge. However nothing really turned out right when practicing some new S tangles.
So after a while I just decided to forget about it and get tangling.
And then I needed something linear against all those soft swirly lines and Star Map was right there looking perfect and so easy I did not even need to look up the step-out!

I guess it all works out once you stop thinking too much and just draw...

The Polka Dot Tangle!

"Text"

This was one of the tougher ones for me... Thought about drawing a cell phone, but couldn't figure out what to put in the text so I gave up on that idea...
Finally I decided to just write text, synonyms for the word text...
(((((((((((((((After reading this line you will only remember the word content appearing once! Oh, and that it is the most amazing inchie! Snap!)))))))))))))

"The POLKA DOT TANGLE"
This was a fun challenge!
No string, only circles and no overlapping...
Voxter, Hurakan, Vitrivius, Jetties, Inapod, Black Pearls

I wasn't really sure whether to grab a micron or to jump on the floor and get in to a suitable position for the POLKA DOT TANGLE! (It just feels like you have to shout that cool name while trowing your arms wide open...)

I decided to go all in on the polka dots because, well, I just love polka dots!
So I'm pulling my creative license card to overlook the part about each dot being filled with different tangles and spilling a handful of black pearls all over my tile...

Feeling the love for this one! I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with for the POLKA DOT TANGLE... (Just had to say that again...)

Thank you to everyone who has left me comments, you are all so sweet!

Happy Valentines Day...

Valentines Day is not really a day we celebrate in Denmark...
All though the stores try their best to make it so. There's all kinds of hearty-things for sale... Don't they just wish they could make a moneymachine out of that day too...

Well, I guess it's kinda getting to me... Little hearts have sneaked their way into my work today, turning everything into Valentangles... <3

Now hang on, because I was so in the zen zone today... Here we go...

Tangles: Buttercup - Puf - Pozer - Inapod
Great challenge. Inapod is now a new favorite of mine.

Tangles: Arukas, Inapod, Rixty, Wavy Border, Heartline, Tipple

This is only my 3rd zendala, but I'm really loving this way of tangleling...

This is actually my second submission as I really was not happy with the first one, I decided to give it another go. I like this so much better!
I went all in on pink and hearty tangles...
String: I drew one
Tangles: Wist, Heartvine, Heartline, Warts and Wobbles, Poke(heart)leaf...

Black Zentangle...
String: I drew one
Tangles: Isochor - Rixty - Msst - Sooflowers (In love!) - Heartvine - Heartline

A little Valentines gift for myself today... White Gelly Rolls...
Fished out some black scraps from the trash and off I went...
I really, really love drawing with these... The little dots are so perfect... I need to get me some black tiles!
