Snails, rain and Spain...

There's rhyme in Danish (it rhymes in Danish!)... A snail on your way, is a sign of rain, in Spain... Or is it from a child song... I'm not really sure... But it was the first thing that popped in my head when picking up this mondays inchie...

It makes absolutely no sense...  Way and rain rhymes in Danish, and snails do come out when it rains - but how did Spain get involved??
The things we teach our kids.....

But it is a great prompt for an inchie. All though I could not fit both a snail, rain and Spain on to my inchie, so I stuck to the snail...
I love drawing animals and somehow I always end up drawing child versions. Maybe because I love hearing my daughter gush about them in a voice that could shatter glass...

I spent most of the afternoon doing laundry and cleaning the hou-- No, I didn't, but I thought about it! (No, I didn't...)
I finished last weeks pages in my journal...

In truth I mostly started this journal to have somewhere to put all the tiles from the numerous challenges I love participating in.
But I do also write a little about what we did during the week or just put down something funny the kids did or said. And I draw or tangle.
Somehow I just can't resist white spaces... My fingers itch... My microns sneaks closer and closer...

I have glued some pages together in the edges to make pockets for storing tiles, drawings and pictures.
Here I taped a piece of pretty paper to the page but left the top open. The tiles I did this week is stored in the pocket.
Everything can be lifted up and underneath I write or put more tiles/pictures...
Under this tile I put a picture of the books I read last week. Under the zendala I wrote about our week.
(Man, all that white space around the zendala was in grave danger - only saved by the lack of time!)

This way I'll be able to do just to pages per week and end up with just one (very, very thick!) journal for the entire year.

  3. She is such a pretty snail (looks like a she to me, anyway)! Your tangling is magnificent. I especially love the richness of the square tile. Sigh, one day I will get time again to tangle. :)
