One last inchie...

You would think that with the holidays there was eons of time to get crafty right??
But that does not seem to be the case. Just a couple of pocket letters and an inchie is what I have gotten done so far.

Most of this past week has been playing boardgames with the kids and the past 3 days also playstation gaming as my son got 3 new games for Christmas. And his crazy mom actually likes playing the kiddo lego games!

Hope you all are enjoying the holidays and getting your crafting on...

Every Inchie Monday #52: Next
The last inchie of 2015!
It's crazy to think that an entire year has passed since I made my very first inchie!

The arrow is pointing at the next 52 inchies coming in 2016!

But first let me just show off a pocket letter I made for a swap on swapbot.com!

Pocket Letter
For this one the theme was sender's choice... Which was really nice!
I randomly picked out pretty stuff and had a great time!
I bought a new stamp, it was the cutest and I had to get it!
It's the very sleepy kitty cat... I stamped some pocket sized patterned papers for that pocket as goodies along with some border punchies.

(Darn it!!! Just noticed I spelled sweetness wrong! Pffft... At least I got her name right... lol)
The leaves was cut from a thank-you note I had received that day. (Funny how every time I see a piece of paper, (or any little thing actually) I am always wondering if it would fit into a 2½x3½ inch pocket! ;) (Is that crazy...)
(That was rhetorical!)

The butterfly button and the flower punchie were goodies in a PL I received from India. The bird on a nest and the imagine tag were from another PL.
I like how each pocket is it's own... Let's hope my swap partner does too!

I wish you happy holidays and a very happy new year too!

Final Christmas letter of 2015...

Another tough inchie challenge!
How to simplify something as complex as evolution to fit in an inch!?

From ape feet to human feet...
Looking forward to next week's easy and straightforward prompt!

Christmas Pocket Letter
This PL went to my pocket letter pal in India, Aparna.
I have used journaling cards for some of the pockets. The gold striped is a little envelope I have received in a swap. The Christmas bulb and cornet were both goodies in an incoming PL.

When I receive an envelope that has next to nothing on it I reuse it. On this one I could cover the address label with another label, or in this case, a journaling card. And the old stamp label I covered with this year's Christmas stamps.
We have some really cute ones with gingerbread hearts, men and women...

It's a tractomotive?

Wow, this was a tough one! It was so hard to fit a locomotive into an inch!
I ended up just doing a toy locomotive...
(No, it's not a tractor. Really! See it has the connector on the wheels! lol!)
(Note to self... Locomotives needs more than two wheels... ;)
(Hey! It's a tractomotive!)
(No, wait! It's a tractor/loco transformer! My son would be down with that!)

Christmas Pocket Letter
Swapping some Christmas spirit through pocketletterpals.com. This one went to Susan in California...
Those little owls are my favorite Christmas PL decor! So cute!

Just two more days, then it's the wondrous Christmas holidays have arrived. Yay!

Half an angel...

Every Inchie Monday #49: Angel
I didn't want to draw an itty bitty tiny angel, so I opted to just draw part of an angel...
I love angels!
Since this is the season, I added plenty of stardust glittery gelly roll!

Pocket Letter Advent Calendar Part 3:
The final part of this little calendar for adults went just around the corner... At least it seems like Germany is very near by after having sent mail to Australia, Japan and Canada!

I am sending out my last Christmas themed pocket letter monday hoping it will make it all the way to India before Christmas.

Christmas letters...

We had our first snow last week but now we are back with the wet and windy weather...
Which calls for a fire in the wood oven, candles and a nice hot cup a tea...

Pocket Letter: Advent Calendar #1
Grown ups needs advent calendars too! They do!
It's a good thing I've got two kids policing me or I'm not sure the ones I've received would still be intact... ;)

Pocket Letter: Advent Calendar #2
One little pocket with a wrapped goodie for each day of December.
There are of course another swap with little presents for the rest of December...

I have received two advent pocket letters so far, so this year I will be opening calendars along with the kids!
(That is if I can contain myself that long! lol!)

Exotic crochet...

I just realized that an entire year of inchies are almost at the end! Crazy! I cannot believe it's been almost a year since I submitted my very first inchie for this cool challenge!
I am definitely down for the 2016 inchies too!
This little guy was the first thing on my mind from this weeks word "exotic".
For once I colored in with steadtler fineliners. All though I did touch it with a wet brush to run the color a bit...
(Didn't have any water at hand and being my own lazy self I just touched the brush to my tongue... Not recommended... I can still taste it... lol!)

Every Inchie Monday #47: Crochet
This is absolutely the smallest piece I have ever crocheted!
If only every crochet project was this quick! ;)

Pink Pocket Letter: Cancer Awareness
I sent out this very pink PL for a swap in October...
My swappartner liked elephants!

Zentangle ATC swap
For this swap we were to draw a blind string. I've done this before and they tend to end up very small.
To avoid this, I placed my ATC on a piece of paper so it wouldn't matter if my string went outside the ATC.
Worked like a charm!
Wud, Poke Leaf, Kozy, Squid
Sometimes I just ask one of the kids to draw a string for me.

The paper is cut from a box of rice. I loved the color of the inside. It goes perfect with brown micron and I used colored pencils for shading. White charcoal for highlights.
(Those beautiful tan tiles are not available to me, so I make do with what I can find...)

Nymph love...

Nymph is such a great tangle!
I was feeling the love for my alphabet stamps...

Pink Pocket Letter for Susan
Susan approached me on pocketletterpals.com and I was very happy to swap with her. Theme was senders choice. Susan loves pink and gardening, so that was my choice of theme...

The middle pocket is cut from the backing paper of a sticker sheet. It is so cute!
The round die-cut in the tea pocket was sent to me in a pocket letter from Japan.
The butterfly die-cut was sent from India...
Yet another envelope on it's way half across the world...

An inch of texture...

I wasn't sure about this one...
Thought about gluing down some fabric or embossed paper... But finally decided on sticking to my favorite; drawing!
So I was going for the illusion of texture...

An inch of yogurt...

I wasn't exactly feeling inspired by this week's word...
Can't win 'em all...

This is an envelope for a pocket letter I just made...
My swap partner for this one likes elephants...
Another one with an elephant...
And a few more envies...

You would think I had a lot more to show for a week of fall vacation time, but really it has been all about the kids this week, just as it should be! :)

Sending birds to Sweden...

I think this is the first time I did something other than draw in this challenge!
I ripped a piece from an old Danish book page a bit smaller than an inch to allow the key to stick outside it...
The key I cut from patterned cardstock and attached with adhesive dots. And then just a little bling to top it off...

Zentangled ATC
This one I drew for a pocket letter going out today for someone who also likes to tangle...
The brown cardstock was wrapped around a pack of yogurts. I thought the color was perfect for some brown tangles...
Kozy - Jalousie - Inapod - Numph

I absolutely love owls! What a great theme...

I had nothing at all with owls. Thank God for my very good friend Google!
I printed images, some as cards, some to use on cardstock. Added some buttons and bling...
I really love making these!

This middle pocket is my favorite...

This is a one-time swap. So it's just a short letter. Since I am sending to Sweden I can write in Danish. Swedish and Danish are somewhat alike.
If there's words in Swedish I can't guess the meaning of I try to say them out loud. It's funny but somehow that makes it easier. Maybe because many words are alike but spelled differently...

Of course the envie has owls too. Never do anything halfheartedly! lol!

More outgoing mail...
Japan, Canada, Singapore and Thailand... I try to cover the entire planet! ;)

You might have noticed my favorite animals are cats and owls...

Inches and mail to Japan...

Just barely making the deadline for this one!
I tried to think of something that no one had done for this week's prompt...

Honestly I had no idea what the word meant!
Of course then I googled it. So a man in a plaid shirt with an axe is a sex symbol?!? Who would have thought?
Well, okay... Scrolling down to Hugh Jackman in plaid, with an axe... I get the point... Lol!
I thought this was going to be a tough one...

I started out drawing an axe, then had the thought of adding the plaid. So I fussy cut the axe and gluedotted it onto the plaid.
Not too bad, if I do say so myself...

Two by Two by Tuesday: Hot
Fall has arrived in Denmark.
The wind is whirling brown leaves and most of the time rain is trickling down my windows...
Though I really am not fond of all the wet weather I do enjoy the dark evenings with candlelight and fire in the wood stove.
This is our wood stove...
For once I decided to go with a pencil drawing...

Pocket Letter for Japan

I had previously sent washi samples for a swap-bot swap to Naoko in Japan and she asked if I would swap a pocket letter.
We settled on our shared loved for the colors blue/green...

The blue with flowers I cut from a Rosina Wachtmeister poster that was to be trashed. I do like recycling...
The quotes I printed from the web...
The punched butterfly was sent to me from India.

Naoko is also a tangler so I tangled her an ATC. She also loves dolphins...

Yesterday I sent out two pocket letters themed owls for India and Sweden... But that show and tell will be for another day...
