Stacking tangles... And tiles...

Meer - Mi2 - Mr. E
Meer was new to me. What a great tangle! I really love how the little sparkles makes such a huge difference in it's appearance... It was a bit of a challenge to draw it spiraling though!
I had to look up Mi2, it's one of the tough ones to remember if you don't use it regularly, but it's such a pretty tangle!

This is always a fun challenge and usually it really is a challenge to get the two patterns mixed!

Stacked!
I've seen these tangled stacks around and it looked like so much fun I just had to try for myself!
And it really is fun. Also very relaxing and zenful.
It's just tangle after tangle after tangle... Just hold the pen and it flows out on it's own...

A week with challenges...

This is a great pattern to draw.

It's been a while since I participated in this challenge. I find it very... Challenging... Which means it takes time.
This time I am familiar with both tangles so I gave it a shot...
Hopefully I cracked the code this time!

String #6, Jax, Jetties

Inside my sketchbook
I saw this on pinterest and had to try it... Lots of straight lines and no thinking, it's so relaxing...

When I was a kid, I loved playing fold-man. I still do. And so do my kids. We use small pieces of paper, move them around to see which combinations looks funny.

Two new tangles under my belt this week as I already knew Ann.

Daring to Zen with the Dala...

I wasn't really sure about this... It was only my second zendala and the template looked pretty tough...
But as soon as I put down the first connecting line cresent moon wanted to land and I just held the pen while it went it's own way...

I printed on regular printer paper... Not doing that again... Microns do not like it - it was skipping and going downright invisible at times...

But it turned out allright after all...

Tangles used:

While I was tangling away on this, my son (6) was looking at it and decided he wanted to make one too... Luckily I couldn't figure out how to just print one of the templates on the page, so he got the tile-size one and I got him going with very simple linework...

For the bottom spaces I suggested dots and he turned them into smilyfaces and thought he was extremly clever! It's so cute...
He finished off with a little post-it Minecraft head for his chin... Yeah... I didn't get that either... But he was half asleep...

Maybe I have a little future tangler here...

Arukas galore...

#whimsybykelly2015 day 32
muster mixer #2
tangled thursday

So we break in to the second month of Kelly's 300 creative days challenge. I for one is very proud that I did not skip a single day!
A little creative time every day is no longer something I have to remember to do. It's more like I have to remember to stop... You know, I do have to sleep too....
It is now a habit... And one I hope to keep longer than those 300 days...

I'm so happy I stumbled over Kelly's challenge!

I absolutely love sunday... Especially sundays where I have 3 whole hours alone (I love my family but oh how good it is to have silence for a little while... And no interuptions...)

It went by so fast it felt like less than half an hour... I actually did not move out of the chair... (Well, I did... A girl needs her coke...) 3 hours of pure Arukas-tangle-pleasure...

Yesterday I had my troubles with Arukas... I was trying to combine it with Balloya for the Muster Mixer #2 challenge over at Freude mit Zentangle and coming out short due to my eyes... They kept closing... Makes it kinda difficult...

No such trouble today...

I really love Arukas!

Diane Clancy commented (Thank you!) one of my posts and I found another challenge by following her link...
Tangled Thursday... You can find it here...
This week's topic is winter and Arukas is just perfect for snowflakes!

Now you might think I had had enough of Arukas by now...
But no, I really needed to play more with it. So I flipped a few pages in my tangle sampler pad and dedicated an entire page to this wonderfully diverse tangle pattern...

Some were quite successful, some not so much...

My favorite is the spiderweb version...
These three are nice too...

And so the weekend comes to an end... Incredible how fast it flies by...

Thanks to everyone for commenting - you are all so sweet!
