Washi, washi, washi!

Every Inchie Monday #9: Towel

Washi Sample Swap...
 I love washi tape!
So these swaps of samples are some of my favorite swaps!
For this one we swapped 25 samples of 12 inches. I made this little washi sample book for my partner...

It opens by lifting the washi strip on the side...
And reveals two playing cards wrapped with clear tape, then wonderful colorful washi tape!
It opens again on both sides for a total of 6 playing cards.

I got the idea from a washi book that was sent to me in another swap from a partner in Japan. I just loved it so much I had to make some myself!

Another washi book...

And one more... Yes, I'm going crazy with the washi books!
I like this one the best...
This was a rainbow colored washi sample swap on swapbot...

After these little washi booklets I have discovered something called flipbooks. Little booklets like these but with little pockets filled with goodies and fully decorated.
That's my next project! Fun, fun, fun...
(That is if I can stop watching youtube videos and actually get started!!)

Valentines...

I didn't feel like drawing the planet earth...
I was more in the mood for some doodling, so this is what I got...

Valentines Pocket Letter...
We don't celebrate Valentines Day in Denmark so this is the first time I have made anything Valentines themed!
This pocket letter was for my pocket letter pal Aparna in India.

Here was the chance to use my tiny cupid stamp!
The middle pocket is a printed image that I went over with some glitter gelly roll. It was actually my starting point and what I chose the colors from...

Butterflies and a beer...

I might as well admit it... I hate beer.. Never drink the stuff...
Diet coke... That's me...
If it absolutely has to be something with alcohol in it I'll take an ice cold glass of Bailey's.

I have been wondering what to do with the inchies this year as I want to have them side by side.
But I don't think I want to hang them anywhere. So this weekend I had an idea for my journal...
I actually intended to just do a frame for each inchie as we make them but once I got doodling there was no stopping me! lol!
Sadly I was out of the polka dotted paper, which I adore! So I had to find something else for page two.

Let me tell you it was hard not to get busy doing some of the inchies! Oh, how I itched to do the dolphin and the whale!

Butterflies for France...
This butterfly themed pocket letter I made for a swap on pocketletterpals.com where I was paired with a French pal Armandine who sent me the most precious PL in return.
I just hope she enjoyed this one as much as I enjoyed hers.

For the corner pocket with a bow around I used the backing from a pack of stickers. It was just too pretty to trash! The bottom corner with a flower was backing paper from a pack of brushes.
The butterfly lady I found on a google search and printed out.

A lot of these pretty butterflies were sent to me as goodies in pocket letters.
I love my alphabet stamp set and use it all the time!
I see more butterfly pocket letters in my future!
Mostly because I just bought a new paper pad filled with them...

Slip into an inch...

I knew right away how I wanted to do this one. Finally an easy one!! lol!

I drew the slippers on polka dotted cardstock and glued on yarn for the part of the slipper that I do not know the English word for. Actually I don't know the Danish word for it either...
Is there a name for that part of a slipper?

A little rhinestone slipped (!) in there.
After our very manly theme last week, we need some sparkle! ;)

Now could I please have me some slippers-weather!

Pocket Letter of Bs...
This was for a swapbot swap and went all the way to Africa!
Everything in this pocket letter was to begin with B.
Letter in Danish is 'brev'. Perfect for my first pocket. Then Bird, Bronze, Bow, Birdcage, Brads, Butterfly, Big and Buttons.
All except one pocket are cut down journaling cards. They are so pretty!

Bulldozer!

So I had to ask my son what exactly a bulldozer look like...
Big wheels and a big shovel...
This turned out a lot better than expected! I'm more of a cute cats and flower drawing kinda girl... ;)

Letter as a Pocket Letter...
The idea for this swap was to use your actual letter as a pocket letter...
I decided to make 9 little examples of how I might decorate a letter for my pocket letters...
Of course I forgot to take a picture of it after writing on these 9 little pieces of stationary...
It went straight into the envie...
... and off on it's way around the world...
This was a really fun idea for a letter swap!
